Kitty

Terms of Use

Last updated August 2, 2026

By using Kitty, you agree to these terms.

What Kitty is

Kitty is a scorekeeper and settlement calculator for card games friends already play for money: Tongits, poker, blackjack, Pusoy Dos, Lucky 9, and generic games. It tracks buy-ins, results, and running balances during a session, and calculates the minimum set of payments needed to settle up at the end.

What Kitty is not

Kitty does not hold, transmit, or take custody of money at any point. It is not a wallet, a payment processor, or a gambling platform. It does not deal cards, run a game engine, or referee gameplay. It's a ledger that sits alongside a real, in-person or video-call game you're already playing. It is built for private, invite-only friend groups, not for facilitating betting between strangers or public/open games.

Settling up is between you and your friends

When Kitty says a payment is owed, it hands you off to a third-party payment app (Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, GCash) with the amount pre-filled. You confirm and send the money inside that app, entirely outside of Kitty. Marking a debt "paid" in Kitty is an honor-system confirmation between the people involved. Kitty never sees or verifies that money actually moved, since it never has access to either side's payment app or bank account.

Your account and identity

Kitty has no account system of its own. Your identity is your device's existing iCloud account. You're responsible for what happens on your device while signed into your iCloud account.

Adding other people

If you invite a friend or add a guest (a placeholder player for someone without an iPhone) to a room or session, you're responsible for having their consent to track and share that information with the rest of the group. Don't add someone's real name and financial results to a shared, invite-only game without their knowledge.

What you agree not to do

Your content

Your session history, round entries, and photos are yours. They're stored in your own iCloud account, not on a Criers-run server, so we have no independent copy of them to license or use.

Deleting your data

You can delete the rooms and sessions you own, and your username, at any time from Profile → Delete My Data. See the Privacy Policy for what this does and doesn't remove.

The service, as it is

Kitty is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it reliable, but can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and since it relies on Apple's iCloud/CloudKit infrastructure, its availability is also subject to Apple's own services being up. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us to use Kitty.

Changes to these terms

If we make meaningful changes, we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Kitty after that means you accept the updated terms.
